You don't want to consider unsafe products for your children.  Well, since the Guidecraft products have been tested by a US based independant company, you can be sure that they are safe for your child.  All paints are batch-tested for heavy metals before being used in production.  For example, each production run is subjected to testing with XRF-guns before leaving the factory and once again when the shipments come to the US, before they are accepted into the Guidecraft warehouse.
